Marty Glorvigen

Class of 2022

Marty Glorvigen was born and raised on a small lake near Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He was very much influenced by his parents and family’s fishing and hunting activities. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth, Marty and his twin brother Scott embarked on a storied career in the fishing industry.

The identical twins started Gemini Sport Marketing, a fishing accessory and custom apparel company, in 1987. Their successful business model mixed fishing and business. Marty and Scott were fierce competitors on several professional walleye circuits across the US and Canada that included the PWT, NAWA, RCL, and MWC.

The Glorvigens created Pro’s Pointers Television, which enjoyed a 23 year run in TV broadcast markets educating and entertaining anglers with “how-to-tips” aired in primetime broadcast news. They successfully launched Wired2Fish in 2008. It has become one of the most influential digital media platforms in the outdoor industry today.

Marty, along with Scott, continue to influence, educate, entertain, and share the joys of the sport of fishing. They are well known and respected throughout the fishing world for their passionate pursuit of all sport fish, and the infectious manner in which they share fishing experiences. They have been on the forefront of sport fishing techniques, tactics and trends and have been huge contributors to the advancement of boats, electronics, lures, clothing and
accessories. They have provided a huge influence to the growth and recruitment of fisher people. Their likeable and professional demeanor has grown their popularity among their industry peers, and the fishing public.
